Galleria: (Lots of) Space for Rent
London’s downtown malls have always had a hard time for some reason. Remember the London Arcade? Anyway, this comic commented on all the empty storefronts and on the strange chain store called “A Buck or Two.” I’m told that these days the name has changed to “A Buck or Two Plus.” So basically it’s just a store. Prices vary.

Looking back on this, I can’t tell if I made a mistake having him look happy about the sale. I guess the abrupt shift in his attitude is funny, but the dialogue would’ve worked even if he had maintained his sour disposition and said the line with a grimace and an eyeroll.

I think I like the shift and the idea that he’s at least a little bit full of it and has his consumer moments like we all do.
